Technical Unit Bargaining Unit Tentative Agreement  We are currently working on fine tuning pay implementation procedures, reviewing language, and preparing for bargaining unit conferences and ratification for the four units who settled last week.  Even though bargaining is 99% complete, this is still a very busy time getting ready for both membership and legislative ratification.  Bargaining unit conference delegates have been notified that the conferences have been scheduled for MONDAY, MARCH 27 at the Alliant Center in Madison.  We are in the process of scheduling several regional meetings between March 28th and 31st so that members will have the opportunity to ask questions (but not vote).  We will get the word out on these meetings as soon as details are final.  Ratification ballots will be mailed to members during the first week of April, and due back to Council 24 by April 21st.  We are also in the process of scheduling both a JOCER meeting and full legislative ratification during the week of April 24th.  Details are sketchy at this moment on both the regional meetings and legislative ratification dates.  As soon as everything is in place you will be notified.

The Technical Unit reached a tentative agreement with the State on Friday March 10, 2006. Tech has moved a total of 40 classifications that totals over 76% of the bargaining unit. We also got letters of commitment to do a Compensation survey during the life of this contract for several classes that the team presented for a pay step increase, but the state has shown no interest in moving at this time. Below is the final list of classifications the State has shown interest in moving and the classifications the team has asked the state to do a compensation survey on and the final across the board increases All proposed movements will happen on 6/25/06.
